Night ski tours in Tyrol

The greater Innsbruck area offers something unique for ski tourers - namely the opportunity and freedom to go on a ski tour on a piste in the evening (or even during the day). How nice it is to be able to burn off some energy after work or simply go up the mountain in a cosy group, have a nice stop at the top and then ski down in the moonlight
  • Starting point: Tulfes car park
  • Elevation gain: 1,100 m (up to the Tulfein Alm)
  • Tour evenings: Tuesday and Thursday

From the car park in Tulfes, the route first follows the road and later the meadows and pistes to the Tulfein Alm (2,035 m) or all the way up to the Glungezerhütte (2,610 m). The tour is rather moderately steep up to the Tulfein Alm. Here, too, you can take the last cable car to Halsmarter or to the Tulfein Alm and thus adapt your altitude metres. In good snow conditions, you can set off from the Karlskirche church in Volders - provided you start early and are in good physical condition, as there are more than 2,100 metres of altitude to conquer.

The ski tour to Rangger Köpfl (1,939 m) is one of the classic piste tours in the Innsbruck area. Alternatively, you can ascend from Stiglreith via the toboggan run to the Rosskogelhütte and from there reach the impressive summit cross via beautiful gentle slopes with magnificent views of the Inntal valley.
