If you run often and a lot, then you probably know from your own experience that you only have to run long enough to get close to the sky. With the TschirgantSkyRun, however, you are actually running into the sky, because the Tschirgant is more present and solid than any other mountain in the Tyrolean Oberland.
Short asphalt stretches, forest and meadow paths and, above all, steep, sweat-inducing mountain trails up through mountain pines as well as magnificent views, a bathing lake and a wild and romantic gorge - the TschirgantSkyRun leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to highlights in the Tyrolean Oberland. At marathon length, the trail first leads up to the so-called "Frühstücksplatzerl" on the Tschirgant with a magnificent view. It then descends almost as steeply again, crossing the valley side and running up and down past Lake Starkenberg and through the wild and romantic Rosengarten Gorge.
The TS42 mountain marathon is technically easier than the TS26 and TS52, but it is not lacking in highlights. All routes are the same up to the Karröster Alm, then the TS42 climbs over alpine pastures and a path through mountain pines to the so-called "Frühstücksplatzl" (breakfast spot) on the Tschirgantgrat. It continues to the Haimingeralm and then quickly descends to Strad, where the valley side is crossed. This is followed by the high pass at the Salvesen Gorge, the Starkenbergersee Lake, and the Rosengarten Gorge. The scenery is truly breathtaking.
