Ischgl opens the new winter season in late November with the “Top of the Mountain Opening Concert” featuring multi-award-winning and chart-topping, international recording artist Sean Paul.
Ischgl, the Tirolean resort has built a reputation for having top global superstars perform at the start and end of its winter season. This year’s ski season will be opened with a live act by Jamaican singer and rapper Sean Paul who is regarded as one of dancehall's most prolific artists. Sean Paul's 2002 sophomore album, Dutty Rock, is his most successful, with 4 top 20 hits, including the worldwide smash "Gimme The Light", "Get Busy", "Like Glue" & "I'm Still In Love With You" were also huge hits, keeping the Dutty Rock album a best seller throughout 2003. "Temperature," from his 2005 follow-up cd, The Trinity, was a Billboard #1 Hot 100 hit. He collaborated with Rihanna, Lil Jon, Brandy, Carlos Santana and Busta Rhymes and was a feature artist on Beyonce's number one hit, "Baby Boy."
The concert will begin at 6:00pm at the sports ground in Ischgl, close to the base of Silvrettabahn Gondola.
This year’s top act will join Ischgl’s impressive Hall of Fame, which has seen Top of the Mountain Concerts by Seeed, Jason Derulo, Elton John, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Pink and Robbie Williams.
The lifts will start spinning at Silvretta Arena in Ischgl the world renowned ski resort in Tirol’s Paznaun Valley at an elevation of 2,872 meters above sea level, on November 24, 2022.
