The Best Events at the end of the Ski Season in Tirol
Here in Tirol, we know how to party – especially at the end of winter as the season comes to a close. In spring there are loads of on-mountain events taking place in Tirol for those keen to get in a few last runs, soak up the sun, enjoy the view and get the party started. Here is our selection of the best closing events of the ski season.
Winter closing events are held at the end of the skiing season in Tirol. They combine spring skiing with music festivals, concerts, DJ sets and iconic races – serving as a ‘grand finale’ in the snow.
There are often open-air concerts, DJ line-ups, parties on the mountain and in the valley, as well as incentive programmes. Depending on the location, there may also be iconic races or show events in the Ski Resort.
The winter closing events take place mainly in March and April and mark the end of the winter season. The exact dates vary depending on the event and the Ski Resort. More detailed information can be found on the event details pages.
The events take place in various Tirolean winter sports resorts, including Fieberbrunn, Wildschönau, Jerzens, Ischgl, Mayrhofen, Sölden and St. Anton am Arlberg.
The programme includes, amongst other things, the White Pearl Mountain Days, Sound on Snow, Hochzeiger rockt, the Top of the Mountain Easter Concert, Snowbombing, Ugly Skiing Day, the Electric Mountain Festival, the Weisse Rausch and the Top of the Mountain Spring Concert.
This varies depending on the event. Some events offer free entry, whilst others may require a ticket, a cable car ride or a ski pass. You should therefore check the specific entry requirements directly with the event organizers of each event.
Yes. Many events take place right in the Ski Resort and can be perfectly combined with a day on the slopes. This means visitors can first enjoy the last few runs of the season and then head off to concerts, parties or other events.
