The Tiroler Zugspitzbahn connects the village of Ehrwald with the summit of the Zugspitze, at 2,962m the highest mountain in Germany. From the top visitors can look forward to spectacular views of both Bavaria and Tirol. Equally spectacular is the summit restaurant serving traditional food. Well worth a visit is the Erlebniswelt Zugspitze, a small musuem at the top of the mountain all about the geography, geology and history of the Zugspitze.
