Our health farm is located at an altitude of 1.250 m in a sunny, peaceful location on a plateau between Matrei and Virgen ZEDLACH, a small mountain village with a stunning view of the Virgental, in the middle of the High Tauern National Park. Directly below the idyllic and well known Zedlacher Paradies. We rent out two cosy holiday apartments with lots of wood, rustically furnished and in the loft room of our farmhouse with its own entrance. Holiday apartment MATREI for 2 - 5 persons approx. 50 m² and holiday apartment VIRGEN for 2 - 4 persons approx. 45 m² each with two separate bedrooms. Our special features: For our small guests we have a separate playroom and a children's playground with swimming pool. Our animals such as calves, goats, rabbits, dog and cat are also very popular. For hiking enthusiasts the Zedlach is a popular place. The way alone to our own snack bar Wodenalm at an altitude of 1,840 m is a special experience. Old roads as well as a pleasant forest way lead through the Zedlach paradise, along the educational forest trail in the national park, past the over 500-year old area of larch trees. After approx. 1.5 to 2 hours you will reach our snack bar Wodenalm, which not only affords you stunning views of the mountain region, but also offers excellent treats. Our meals are predominantly made with our own natural farm produce and are enjoyed by our guests. For health conscious guests we have our own guest herb garden for teas, juices, jams, salad and fresh herbs for a healthy holiday diet. In addition we have a health area with health books, herbal teas, processed products, free weights, natural foot massage boxes, alpine herb cushions and a Kneipp channel on the Alps. Enjoy the natural produce from our own farm in your holiday diet like bread, butter, goats cheese, grey cheese, sliced cheese, cottage cheese, yoghurt, fresh cows and goats milk. We show the usefulness of natural healing powers and a healthy lifestyle. In perfect harmony nature also shows its healing qualities. As a national park partner we also enjoy many activities and activity programmes, in harmony with the unspoiled natural surroundings and the highly qualified and enthusiastic park rangers.
