Attraction Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser

Open today
Alpbach

Ride the summer toboggan run all day and try to break your own speed record on the 18-meter-high traffic circle? You can! But then families would miss out on the summit victory at over 2,000m. And the almost 40 play stations in the spacious Alpbachtaler Lauserland forest playground. That would be a shame.

We recommend because:

...bread on a stick may not be a Tyrolean invention, but it could hardly taste better after a whole day of hiking, scrambling, whizzing and laughing. (Every Thursday as part of the family program. Registration not required).

Description

The modern alpine coaster "Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser" has its start at an altitude of 1.845 m next to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn gondola lift top station.

The two seater sledges can reach speeds of up to 40 kmph descending over 134 vertical metres over two jumps and through two 360° in-line twists. Up to 500 people can use the new „Lauser Sauser“ per hour – not only downhill, the coaster carries passengers and the sledge back to the top.

By the way: One of the in-line twist is Austria's highest at 18 m above the ground! The speed during the entire ride is also measured and a snapshot is taken. Photos can be purchased directly at the ticket office.

Three to eight year olds can ride aboard a sledge in the company of an over eight year old (minimum body height 1,30 m). Over eight year olds can buckle into a sledge on their own.

Best of all: the Lauser-Sauser operates in winter, too.
