Unsinniger Donnerstag in der Silberregion Karwendell

Mullern and Maschgern in the Karwendel Silver Region - preserving tradition and adapting it to the present day: This self-understanding and attitude to life characterises the people in the Tyrolean silver region of Karwendel. As a visitor you can experience this during the carnival and make your skiing holiday a particularly intensive experience.
The Karwendel Silver Region is where the clocks go even slower - just as one would often wish in our fast-moving times. Carnival has attained UNESCO cultural heritage status in the Karwendel Silver Region. Responsible for this are the unmistakable Weerer Muller, a customs troupe with Bojazl (=Bajazzo), pre-dancers, flattlers, witches, the magnificent Spiegeltuxer with its altar-like headdress as well as various fertility figures.
