Attraction Hasegg Castle & Museum Münze Hall

Open today
Hall

Hasegg Castle, with its Mint Tower, is the landmark of the medieval town of Hall. Built to protect the town and the salt works, it was expanded into a stately castle under Duke Siegmund and Emperor Maximilian I. The castle experienced its greatest boom in 1567 when Archduke Ferdinand II had the mint relocated to the castle.

We recommend because:

  • offers fascinating insights into the history of coin minting
  • you can experience the origins of the taler and the evolution of coin production up close
  • offers an impressive view of Hall in Tirol, the Inn Valley, and the surrounding mountains from the Mint Tower
