The Wasseralb is one of the four elements that can be experienced in the myth surrounding the municipality of Grins. Based on the sketches by Erich Horvath, Christian Moschen has realised the four elements from Corten steel sheet.
The myth surrounding the village of Grins is about the four Albigen. These embody the elements of fire, earth, water and air. A giant outwitted these creatures and was able to tame them. As a result, Grins lived in peace for decades and was spared natural disasters. However, through carelessness, one of the villagers freed the Albigen, which then attacked the small community again.
It was a shepherd's bell that lured the fire and water alb into a crevice. The earth gave way to anger and the combined forces of the elves created the Bell Hole, a warm, bubbling spring. This is located at the northernmost point of the Erdalb circular route, where you can still hear the sound of the bell from time to time. The power of the bell and the sky reconciled the Earth and Air Alb and peace returned. Since then, the four albums have watched over the village and these paths have been dedicated to them.
