On September 12, 2025, a joyful warm-up party with a DJ will kick off in the center of Jerzens for the Almabtrieb, marking the beginning of the traditional Almabtrieb celebrations.

On September 13, 2025, the traditional Almabtrieb will take place in Jerzens, marking the transition of livestock from the alpine pastures to their winter quarters. This custom has a long history and is celebrated every autumn.
Starting at 2:00 PM, the cows, goats, and sheep will make their way home through the village after grazing in the high-altitude pastures during the summer. The Almabtrieb is a highlight of the year for the community and is celebrated with great joy by both residents and visitors.
The festival is not only an opportunity to admire the animals but also a cultural event accompanied by festive activities. Music fills the village, and people enjoy the special atmosphere of the day. There are numerous culinary delights prepared by local clubs, including traditional dishes from the region.
Amidst the festive proceedings, many market stalls are set up in the village area, inviting visitors to browse local products and crafts. A diverse accompanying program with activities for the whole family, such as the Pitzi's Children’s Club, nail-driving contests, sawing competitions, and milking challenges, guarantees entertainment and fun for all Alm enthusiasts.
