Ausklang III (Matinee)
Farewell, the autumn festival of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, which will open each season from 2024, will be entering its third edition in 2026. Curator Andreas Schett once again brings together artists from various music genres for the farewell in Erl: classical meets folk music, jazz, pop, world music, and more.
The surprise moments that arise from unexpected musical sequences are intentional. On the third day, the singer, songwriter, and accordion player Maxi Pongratz will perform with a new trio; he is known, among others, as the former frontman of the Bavarian cult group Kofelgschroa. An exciting performance is to be expected in partnership on stage with the Finnish harmonica quartet Sväng.
The soprano Anna Prohaska, who is at home on the big stages of the world, is also coming to Erl. And the award-winning jazz formation Shake Stew, led by bassist Lukas Kranzelbinder, will conclude the festival as a septet in folk music disposition: two basses and two percussion instruments as the foundation, with three-part harmonies from trumpet and two saxophones above. Always involved in the interplay is the Musicbanda Franui. The “local heroes” once again take on the musical hosting role together with their creative head Andreas Schett.
