How does a modern cable car actually work – and what goes on behind the scenes?
Anyone who wants to take a look behind the scenes of the 3S Eisgratbahn has the opportunity to do so this summer. During this tour at the mid-station, an employee provides exciting insights into the operation of one of the most powerful cable cars in the Alps.
How is a cable car controlled and monitored? What maintenance work is necessary, and how efficient is the energy usage? In addition to technical details, interesting information about the transport capacity, number of supports, and daily operations in the background can also be learned.
