A deep longing for perfection in art corresponds with the work of Elisabeth Melkonyan. In the “Kunstraum Jesuitenkirche”, she realizes this vision in the sacred space. Her installation of 108 ships (Japanese hemp technique with various natural materials) brings the church space to life in a special way and fascinates with its strength and dynamism. The drawings (Sumuk on Hanji paper) of various religious figures from around the world invite dialogue. http://melkonyan.at
