Description

Dragonflies are acrobats of the air and lightning-fast hunters by the pond. This ancient group of insects originated in the Carboniferous period over 300 million years ago. Of the approximately 6400 species worldwide, about 50 species can be found in Tyrol.

As indicator organisms, they reveal much about the condition of wetlands.

Together we will discover the dragonfly paradise on the Tyrolean Lech with its various habitats – including the largest occurrence in Europe of the very rare Bilek's Azure Damselfly, the emblem of the nature park.
