Meeting point: Nailsmith's Houses; on the four Advent weekends, the medieval town of Rattenberg is bathed in candle light and the glow of torchlights and open fires! Participation free of charge, but registrations required (limited numbers). Please register by 3:00 p.m. at one of the Alpbachtal tourist offices or call +43 5337 21200 or book online on My Alpbachtal app or visit the Experiences Shop. Brass band musicians will wander through town from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
In medieval Rattenberg, Advent is celebrated differently. By candlelight and with warming fire pits, one enjoys the special atmosphere in the smallest city in Austria.
During the Advent weekends, the medieval town of Rattenberg shines in the glow of stars, candles, torches, and open fire pits. Gastronomy and trade spoil you with local delicacies and invite you to relax and enjoy. Reflective Advent music in the shops of the town accompanies you through the afternoon and evening.
