Event Freudenfeuer Hall in Tirol

From October 2nd to 4th, a lively medieval festival will take place in Hall in Tyrol, featuring joyful bonfires, historical camps, music, dance, market stalls, a children's program, and crossbow shooting.

Haller Freudenfeuer 2026 - Medieval Festival Hall in Tyrol
October 2nd–4th

A warm glow is cast over the old town as the bonfire flares up in the wooden barrel at the Upper Town Square. Music fills the streets as dancers invite visitors to join in. Wine is served, sweet delicacies are offered, and a hint of past centuries becomes palpable.

A tent camp is set up in the Abbey Garden. There, the historical everyday life of the 15th and 16th centuries comes to life. In lovingly recreated tents, performers wear costumes from this era, cook, work, and explain their crafts to interested guests. From 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, visitors can stroll through this little time travel.

A special program is designed for children in the Old Town Park. Music groups wander through the city, playing at various program points, accompanied by dance groups. Market stalls fill the streets around Bachlechnerstraße and Pfarrplatz. Here, regional dishes, historical crafts, and appropriate gastronomy are offered. Craftspeople demonstrate old techniques and share stories about their work.

In the market square, a crossbow shooting range built according to historical models can be admired. Shooting, demonstrations, and occasionally a small "close combat" scene will amaze the audience.

A weekend full of atmosphere, tradition, and lively history awaits.
