The hike leads from Plangeross over a steeper trail to Karles Eck, from there it goes directly to Sassenjoch. Here you have a beautiful view of the surrounding glaciers as well as the Verpeilspitze. Afterwards, the hike continues to Mittelbergsee. From there, the descent to Trenkwald follows. One can return to the starting point by bus or along the valley hiking trail.
