II. International Roman Archery Tournament Via Claudia

Description

The LEGIO VI Castellum Morans invites you on a journey through time and target:

For the second time, the International Roman Archery Tournament will take place along the Roman road Via Claudia Augusta.
Archers of all classes will compete in an athletic-antique contest.

The tournament begins between 09:00 and 09:45 AM with registration & group allocation, before the strings are drawn and arrows are released at 10:00 AM. Until 2:00 PM, participants will demonstrate their skills – divided into different archery classes:

• Children's Class (up to the year 2014)
• Primitive
• Longbow
• Recurve and
• Compound, each separated by ladies and gentlemen.

After the course, an exciting supporting program awaits you with further attractions around ancient life in Roman times, and your physical well-being is well catered for with Roman food & drinks.

At 4:00 PM, our festive award ceremony will follow, where not only class winners (I-III) but also overall winners will be honored.
