La Guitarra Next Generation in Concert
The Power of the Subtle – on the Strength of Quiet Tones Flamenco is an art of pure emotion – an immediate dialogue of voice, rhythm, and strings. Daniel Casares is one of the most influential guitarists of his generation. The musician from Málaga drew international attention early on: At the age of sixteen, he won the Bordón Minero de La Unión, later the Premio Nacional de Guitarra de Jaén; his first album was released before he turned twenty. His work navigates between deep roots in Andalusian flamenco and an open, contemporary sound language. Collaborations with international stars such as Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Poveda, Dulce Pontes, or José Mercé mark a career that has never seen stylistic boundaries as limitations. The Power of the Subtle is a poetic approach to the quiet, the fine, the often unheard – to those moments in which intensity does not explode in loudness but reveals itself in density. With his flamenco sextet, Daniel Casares unfolds a colorful, energetic concert experience in which virtuosic guitar artistry, expressive singing, dance, and percussion closely intertwine.
