Description

Seefeld will once again be the focal point of a colorful and entertaining concert program in the beautiful spa park during the summer - there's something for every musical taste.

Particularly popular and in demand are the concerts of the local brass band, the Bürgermusikkapelle Seefeld. Numerous (inter)national music groups and Tyrolean brass bands, who are guests in Seefeld, complete the program.

Enjoy the concert of the Swiss formation Gasterländer Blasmusikanten:

The cradle of the Gasterländer Blasmusikanten lies in Kaltbrunn, a place between Lake Zurich and Lake Walensee. Almost 40 years ago, some musicians from the local music club committed themselves to Bohemian brass music. The "GaBla," as the Gasterländer are affectionately called by their fans, quickly developed into a fixture in the Swiss brass music scene.

Performances on radio and television, numerous successes at brass band competitions, and many concert tours abroad testify to the great popularity of the group. Three times, GaBla was voted the favorite brass band in Switzerland by the listeners of Swiss radio. They also thrilled audiences at the Woodstock of Brass Music and the big Egerländer Open Air in Altusried in true GaBla style.

In their concerts, the 19 musicians not only impress with their musical quality but also with their unique stage show. Solo performances alternate with humorous gags - there's always something happening on stage. Honorary bandmaster Rolf Gmür, who has led the band since its founding, summarizes the secret to the success of the Gasterländer Blasmusikanten: "With joy comes joy! For us Gablaners, it is a privilege that thanks to Bohemian music, we have been able to experience so many special moments in recent decades. This joy of playing is directly conveyed to the audience during our concerts."

Even after almost 40 years, the group has lost none of its allure. At the premiere of the Winter Woodstock of Brass Music in Tyrol in 2022, they had the honor of opening the festival on the main stage. In 2023, they made another appearance in the folk music program "Potzmusig," where they – true to their reputation – performed an entertaining recording perfectly timed to the broadcast date of April 1.

In 2024, the East Swiss announced that the formation would end its musical career in late 2026. This marks the end of an extraordinary career in the Swiss brass band scene. Although this decision surprised many, it is entirely in line with the philosophy of GaBla. "One should stop when it's at its best – and not wait until everyone is glad it's over," says Rolf Gmür about the chosen timing.

In the last year of their joint journey, the Gasterländer will give it their all: Numerous performances at home and abroad are on the program. The grand finale will finally take place on December 29, 2026, at the ENTRA in Rapperswil.

Admission to all concerts is free, each concert is scheduled to last about an hour (subject to change), and the musicians look forward to welcoming many visitors.
