OvO is an Italian Black Metal / Noise Rock duo with Stefania Alos Pedretti - vocals, guitar, pedals, and Bruno Dorella on drums. The band's sound, bubbling beneath a flat malice, unites Extreme Metal, Noise Rock, Industrial Music, and Dark Electronica.
The music of OvO is characterized by Bruno Dorella's explosive, murky drums, bursts of feedback, and powerful guitar riffs, along with Stefania Pedretti's uncompromising voice, and is simultaneously an ambitious exploration of heaviness beyond the various metal genres. The duo has extensively toured around the world, playing over 1000 shows at various locations, including Europe, Asia, North America, and Mexico. Silius draws inspiration from the greats of Metal and infuses their music with a nostalgic essence while giving Old School Thrash Metal their own modern touch. Each member of Silius is a virtuoso in their own right, and their individual talents combine to create a cohesive sonic tapestry that is both familiar and innovative.
Their 2025 album "Beneath The Flash" has received outstanding reviews in numerous prestigious metal magazines. Wesen from St. Johann i.T. situate their sound within Melodic Post Black Metal and is a band whose content is dedicated to the critical engagement with oneself, the past, and the future.
