Traditional custom in Tyrol, where mountain fires are lit
The Heart of Jesus Fire is a traditional custom in Tyrol, where bonfires are lit on Heart of Jesus day to honor the connection with the homeland and the Heart of Jesus pledge from 1796.
It is often ignited in the form of hearts, crosses, or other Christian symbols.
from 8:00 pm cozy gathering at the church square in Berwang with a Heart of Jesus concert by the Berwang music band
from 10:00 pm the Heart of Jesus fires will be lit by the mountain rescue service Berwang-Namlos
The event takes place only in good weather conditions.
