Every Tuesday evening (weather permitting) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, there is atmospheric sundowner music at Lake Kaltwasser - a live accompaniment to the sunset. A few soft drinks and small snacks will be sold on-site from a belly basket, providing the culinary extra. Swimming in the lake is not allowed. The lake can be reached on foot or by bike from Seefeld (last mountain train departs at 5:00 PM). The return journey will be in the light of headlamps – so: bring a blanket, warm clothing, and a headlamp!
Sundowner Music at the Kaltwassersee
As the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains and the Kaltwassersee is bathed in warm evening light, a very special atmosphere arises at the Rosshütte. In August, this mood is musically complemented every Tuesday evening (weather permitting) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM with live music at the Kaltwassersee that highlights the unforgettable sunset.
A few soft drinks and small snacks are sold from a belly rack on site, providing the culinary extra. If you like, find your favorite spot by the lake, spread out your own blanket, and enjoy the moment (swimming is not allowed in the Kaltwassersee).
The best way to reach the Kaltwassersee from Seefeld is on foot as part of a short hike (the last ascent of the funicular is already at 5:00 PM). The lake is also accessible by bike. After the concert, your way back leads you down into the valley by the light of your headlamps. We recommend taking this route.
Tip: Bring a headlamp, warmer clothing & your own blanket.
