Breathe Easy at the Yoga Event at 3,000m Elevation

This summer, yoga enthusiasts can look forward to the unique yoga event under the motto "Yoga at 3,000m". Yoga teacher Katharina Wohlgenannt has put together a varied program for all skill levels. The absolute highlight of this event are the two locations*: The Summit platform TOP OF TYROL and the rooftop terrace at the Eisgrat mountain station not only offer breathtaking views over the Stubai Alps to the Dolomites, but also allow one to breathe deeply and find calm.

  • comfortable, warm clothing

  • water bottle
  • sturdy footwear


Program

10:20 AM - Meeting point at the Information center at the Eisgrat mountain station at the Stubai Glacier. (Info: Gondola ride around 20 min.)

10:30 - 11:45 AM - Glacier Yoga Flow – Theme: Letting Go At over 2,000m, we start the day mindfully with sun salutations, activating our bodies and leaving everyday life behind in the valley with deep breaths. In the revitalizing Glacier Yoga Flow, we create a steady balance between strength and relaxation, between sun and moon, light and shadow. With smoothly sequenced asanas, we practice strength, flexibility, and balance, while the focus is always on you and your breath. Let's enjoy the fresh mountain air together and create space for new experiences.

12:00 PM - Shared lunch break at the Eisgrat restaurant In elegant surroundings, we enjoy our lunch break on the sun terrace with glacier views or in the modern Tyrolean lounge of the Eisgrat restaurant. We can expect fresh products from the region and fine dishes with international influences – self-paying basis.

1:30 - 2:15 PM - Slow Hatha Yoga – Theme: Arriving After the lunch break, the focus is entirely on you and your breath. In traditional Hatha Yoga, we concentrate on the connection between body and mind. We hold the soothing asanas for several breaths, creating moments of concentration and stillness. An invitation to listen within, to be fully present with yourself, and to arrive in the here and now.

2:30 PM - Ascent to the Summit platform TOP OF TYROL

2:45 - 3:20 PM - Meditation & Pranayama – Theme: New Beginnings At over 3,000m, the third session of the day is themed around new beginnings and realignment. With conscious breathing exercises (Pranayama) and a guided meditation, we let go of old patterns and invite confidence and serenity. Inspired by the incomparable panorama with views over 109 peaks over three thousand meters high, we draw strength to boldly navigate new paths in our daily lives in the valley.
