Italian culinary delight and plenty of tradition As early as the 15th century, a tavern was run at the eastern entrance to the old town of Hall, known as the Milsertor. Today, guests are treated to culinary delights by the Marra family from Jesolo at the "Gasthaus zur Krippe." Italian culture and Mediterranean cuisine have breathed new life into the venerable inn since 2010. The decision to open a gastronomic establishment in Hall was easy for Guiseppe Marra and his wife at the time: "We had already been working in gastronomy in Tyrol since the year 2000. Friends told us about this traditional inn and its location. On one hand, we love the almost Italian flair of the old town, and on the other hand, many friends from our old home live here." Southern hospitality meets typical Italian cuisine in the trattoria and pizzeria. All dishes are prepared fresh daily. From pizza to pasta, to meat specialties (only veal and beef) and homemade desserts like panna cotta or tiramisu, a varied menu is offered. The buffet features classic antipasti and salads, while the pasta selection ranges from typical recipes from Italy to house-made variations. Two lunch menus are offered at very reasonable prices from Tuesday to Friday. Those who, like the Marras, come directly from the Adriatic coast know how to appreciate the culinary delights from the sea. "Friends of fine fish dishes can look forward to seafood and 'Pesce alla italiana'. We recommend Wednesday or Friday for fish lovers, as fresh goods are delivered on these days," explains Guiseppe Marra, who also points to the excellent wine list: "For wine gourmets, we offer many wines from all over Italy, from Trentino to Apulia and Tuscany, which are sure to delight our guests' palates." A touch of vacation flows not only through the culinary experience but also visually through the rooms of the traditional inn. In 2017, the Krippe was carefully refreshed in design. The entrance area along with the bar and front dining room was redesigned. A renovation of the beautiful guest room in the adjoining area was deliberately omitted. An architectural and historical jewel is also the vaulted cellar. This can be rented for private events (bachelor parties, birthday parties, meetings, etc.). Depending on your preference, drinks and food can be brought along, or the team at the Krippe can take care of the catering. The guest garden, particularly beautiful and cozy, invites a pleasant stay outdoors again with the arrival of the first days of spring.
