Arrival by public transport
By train: Take the S-Bahn, which runs every half hour, to Steinach am Brenner and then the bus to Gschnitztal.
There are a total of four sectors (A,B,C,D), some of which differ in difficulty (3 to 7-). You have a beautifully west-southwest exposed slope, which shines in a wonderful light at a later hour.
Character: Climbing garden for pleasure climbers with currently 18 routes in alpine limestone at around 1675m. You should therefore not expect the lines to always be perfectly groomed. The difficulty levels range from 3 to 7, mostly 5 and 6.
Exposure: West / Southwest - perfectly sunny from midday to evening!
Best season: May to November
Equipment: normal climbing gear, helmet recommended!
Worth seeing is the little mountain church "St. Magdalena" with beautiful, gothic frescoes, first mentioned in a document in 1307.
Food and drink are provided by the adjacent snack station with a good view of the "Big Bang" route. Overnight accommodation and backpack transport are also available on request.
