Approach

From the top station, turn left on the trail 413 (Enzianweg) in the direction of Durrakreuz/Dalfaz Alm. After a few minutes, follow the steep descent along the edge of the ski slope in a zigzag (pasture). When the slope/meadow becomes somewhat flatter, cross to the left on the meadow (small hut) to the edge of the forest and climb a little until you reach the starting point on the small rock face.

Descent

5 minutes down climb through mountain pines to the Erfurter Hütte.

Route description

Short via ferrata – a little below the Erfurter Hütte – which was built especially for families and beginners. The via ferrata route leads along the edge of a pasture over unspectacular stepped rocky terrain. The exit is near the Erfurter Hütte on a meadow. The route is perfect for those seeking a short via ferrata for a leisurely scramble or for practicing near the mountain station of the Rofan cable car.

Arrival by public transport
Take the regional bus (line 8336, 8332, 4080 oder 390) to the Rofan cable car in Maurach. Get off at the "Maurach Rofan Seilbahn" stop.

Car park Rofan Seilbahn 1 or 2 (paid parking; Rofan cable car passengers receive a refund at the ticket office).
