Route description

Start at the parking area "St. Magdalena" near the house Gschnitz 65, from where you follow the hiking trail towards St. Magdalena for about 30 min until the start of the via ferrata. The entrance is behind the fence with a gate visible a little above the hiking trail on the left side. At the beginning you can climb the first short part to the viewing platform "Habichtblick" via variants A-E. The variants are used to test yourself and to get to know your limits. For families, the variants A or B are recommended. At the "Habichtblick" platform one can have a look at the panoramic targets and get information about the surrounding peaks. From there, the tour continues with the own fixed rope route of difficulty level B/C. It leads over rocky terrain quite straight uphill, over small rocky outcrops and earth it goes in ascent. On the way up there are several resting places with wooden benches, which invite you to enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains like Muttenkopf, Zeisspitze and other mountains. The exit is located directly below the pilgrimage church and leads into the hiking trail. The snack station is also located here. After a cool drink and a refreshment, you return to the hiking trail (descent) to the parking area (45 min).
