Description

Description:

On the snow-covered trail in the Tannheimer Tal, cross-country skiing for skating and classic styles is guaranteed on a perfectly groomed approximately 1.5 km long circular route.

Tyrolean Cross-Country Ski Quality Seal

For two decades, the Tyrolean state government has awarded the Tyrolean cross-country ski quality seal to applicants operating cross-country ski trails under certain conditions.

The Tannheimer Tal is a "cross-country skiing paradise." This is recognized not only by the ADAC Ski Guide 2008, which nominated the region as one of the top 10 ski areas in the Nordic/Cross-Country category, but also by the State of Tyrol with a special award: the "Cross-Country Ski Quality Seal of the State of Tyrol." It is valid for three years, and criteria such as the number of trails, grooming, orientation, or marking are regularly checked.

The Tannheimer Tal offers optimal cross-country skiing conditions with a 140-kilometer network of trails and a maximum altitude difference of 50 meters. The trails are suitable for both classic style and skating and provide suitable challenges for skiers of all skill levels.

Directions:
From the parking lot, walk a short distance along the sidewalk next to the main road towards the Berger Ache bridge. After crossing the street, the route starts immediately. The circular route runs along the promenade and hiking trail beside the Berger Ache, leads through beautiful forest area, makes a loop across the meadow, and returns behind the MPreis grocery store to the starting point.Safety guidelines:

Observe the FIS behavior rules for cross-country skiers!

Confident handling of sports equipment even in poor snow conditions and good fitness are prerequisites for cross-country skiing.
Choosing the right speed - adapted to skiing ability and fatigue level - greatly reduces the risks of accidents and injuries.

Stay on the route: All routes described here follow groomed trails. Do not deviate from the route.

The cross-country ski trail map of the Tannheimer Tal helps you plan your routes, shows distances, and makes estimating the duration easier.

Equipment:

Modern and well-maintained equipment (skis, bindings, boots, poles, and clothing) not only provides a considerable degree of safety but also makes cross-country skiing much easier. Do not forget sun protection (high SPF and possibly sunglasses) and sufficient fluids.
