route 210
Tösens Town Hall bus stop
A varied and challenging circular walk through the cultural landscape of Übersachsen, with the option to continue on towards Matonkopf in Tösens.
From the starting point in Tösens, the route climbs steeply uphill, past the Kalvarienberg Chapel to the Übersachsen hillside terrace, which bears witness to the historical heritage of the first settlements in this area. There, you circle a unique mountain meadow along the tree line and continue on to Langhaus, the last two houses of Übersachsen. Here you have the choice of shortening the tour early or tackling the ‘open-ended’ ascent towards Obere Alm. After the unmanned Langezbergalpe, the increasingly challenging path turns into a cart track and continues to the start of the hiking route to the Matonkopf. The return route leads back to the Langhaus junction, where you turn left and continue down to Tösens. Passing the many hay barns and with the path constantly rising and falling, you cross the stream and switch to the other side of the slope. The forest track, now running downhill, leads to Ganden, where you switch to the tarmac road and follow the final stretch to Tösens and back to the starting point.
