From the town on the Inn you start this route through the lakes at the foot of the Kaisergebirge, where you reach the active sports resort Kössen after 33 kilometres. This medium-difficult stage is characterised by lush meadows and green forests embedded in the imposing backdrop of the Kaisergebirge.
Follow the cycling trail downstream next to the Inn river for 2 km before turning right to Oberndorf-Ebbs. Ride through the village and follow the green signposts with the Bike Trail Tirol logo. Proceed through pastures and forests past Ebbs to Walchsee. Just before the hamlet of Durchholzen you’ll reach the federal road. Continue on it for 1.5 km through the village (1.5 hours from the trailhead) until you turn onto cycling trail no. 15 to Walchsee. Just before Lake Walchsee in the hamlet of Oed, turn right to Habersauertal (323). Now take the climb to Gwirchtalm (elevation gain 350 m), go down the other side to Habersauertal and proceed to the main road in Walchsee (1.5 hours from Durchholzen). Continue east on this road for about 1 km before turning left onto the cycling trail to Kössen (15). From there, follow the signposts to Kössen (1 hour from Walchsee).
