The Holzgauer Wetterspitze is located around 7km south of Holzgau. At 2895m, the Wetterspitze is one of the highest peaks in the Lechtal Alps.
The 4 km long trail to the Sulzlalm takes you along a romantic forest path, which leads you through forest and rocky caves, along the left bank of the stream and later on the right side over pastureland, finally leading you up steep hairpin bends to the hut at 2,002 m, named after the hunting enthusiast Sir Frederik Simms and built by him. The hut is open from the end of June to the end of September. After another two and a half hours of walking, you will reach the summit of the Holzgauer Wetterspitze after a few climbing sections.
