Description

Your hike starts at the Zillergründl Reservoir. First, enjoy a relaxed walk along the lake, then follow the well-marked path up to the Plauener Hütte, 2.363 m. Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the surrounding peaks.

From the hut, the Hannemannweg leads you across the slopes of the Reichenspitz group – a beautiful high trail with great views into the valley and towards the Magnerkamm. The path is narrow but well-secured, with some rocky sections requiring surefootedness. Along the way, small streams and rock slabs invite you to take short breaks.

At the end, descend via the rustic Hohenaualm "Klein Tibet", 1.863 m, where you should definitely stop for a rest. From there, head back to the reservoir – a perfect conclusion to this stunning mountain hike.
