Description

Description:
As the area around the Vilsalpsee, which has been a designated nature reserve for over 50 years and is also a Natura 2000 site, this hike is particularly attractive.

The barrier-free paths and excursion destinations we have selected also invite families and people with mobility aids to discover them: most of them are asphalted or well gravelled and can usually be negotiated with baby carriages or wheelchairs without any problems - although a helping hand may be an advantage in some passages.

Directions:
From Tannheim to Vilsalpsee on the road (closed to general traffic in both directions from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm) or on the forest path, approx. 1 hour. From the inn at Vilsalpsee along the right bank of the lake to the Vilsalpe, approx. 1/2 hour. From the Vilsalpe further on you can visit the waterfall at the head of the valley, circular route no. 55, approx. 1 hour. You can then walk back on the left side of the lake and walk around the Vilsalpsee. You can return to Tannheim by bus (also chargeable with guest card), Tannheimer Alpenexpress (chargeable) or by horse-drawn carriage (only with advance booking) to Vilsalpsee.Tip:
Ein absolute Traumtwanderung in den Tannheimer Bergen.Safety guidelines:
Equipment:
Up-to-date and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles and clothing) not only provides a considerable degree of safety but also makes hiking much easier. Sun protection (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) and sufficient liquids should not be forgotten.Additional information:
