Description

Description:

It doesn't always have to be skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing. On nearly 81 kilometers of cleared paths, hikers wander through a snowy fairy tale landscape. Along the way, cozy huts invite you to stop. Sitting by the fireplace, warming up with a Jaga tea, or strengthening yourself with a snack for the next kilometers – this is how you can fully enjoy snow walks.

Directions:

The cleared winter hiking trail begins at the lift parking lot in Nesselwängle near Gasthof Schuster.

After a small stream, the path ascends to the left towards the climbing forest. Past this, it descends again, with the first views of Lake Haldensee. The path winds down to a fork and leads right along the shore of Lake Haldensee towards Haller. At Hotel Haldensee it continues to the chapel in the village, and from there follow the signpost to Adlerhorst. The forest road pleasantly leads to the mountain hut with a magnificent view over Lake Haldensee.

The return route follows the same path back to Haller, then over wide, snowy meadows to Nesselwängle, past the Dreikreuz chapel and back along the main road. Here again turn left towards Nesselwängle, parallel to the main road to the bus stop. Through the underpass you reach the starting point.

Safety guidelines:

It should be noted that there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries even when winter hiking. Special attention should be paid to the trail conditions, especially in winter. Suitable clothing, good footwear, and possibly hiking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.

Equipment:

Contemporary and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles, and clothing) not only provides a considerable amount of safety but also greatly facilitates winter hiking. Sunscreen (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) as well as enough fluids should not be forgotten.
