Description

Description:
Enjoy the view of the Tannheimer Tal. This hike always offers a beautiful view. Passing the mountain hotel Zugspitzblick, you enter a forest area where nature is completely untouched. The path to Schönkahler is little frequented, there you will find peace and can briefly forget everyday life.Directions:

Follow the signs to Zugspitzblick from the parking lot. The paved path steadily ascends through Zöblen to Obere Halde. Here is the guesthouse Zugspitzblick. With good visibility, there is a view of the Zugspitze. From here, the path continues on a gravel road. A good forest road, not too steep, takes us further up. Suddenly it levels out and we turn right. Ahead of us stands the mighty Einstein. Immediately after, the signpost points left. Over grass-covered hills, we enter the forest. First slightly uphill, then gently downhill, over two wooden bridges and uphill again, we reach the so-called Alten Hof with the Salzstadel, an old wooden hut. Now it goes uphill again, to Rehbichl and Pirschling. From the plain in front of us, you can see the Pfrontner Alm on the lower right. Up here there are usually some horses grazing in summer. Soon the summit is reached after a moderate climb. Since the Schönkahler is not very high, the view from here is surprising. The return follows the same path. After a short stop at the Zugspitzblick, the last stretch down to Zöblen is soon done.

Tip:
From the wildlife observation stand with telescope at Zugspitzblick, you can almost always see wildlife.Safety guidelines:
It should be noted that mountain sports involve an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Despite careful route planning, there is always a basic risk. Route preparation through endurance training, appropriate technical training and education, as well as personal caution, reduces accident risk and hazards. But never forget that the weather in the mountains can change very quickly. Stay on the marked hiking trails.Equipment:
Personal mountain sport equipment must be safe and usable and meet the respective technical standard. Every hiker is recommended to inform themselves about the planned routes in alpine specialist literature or on site.Additional information:
