We start our winter hike at the valley station of the Hochbrixen gondola lift in Brixen im Thale. We walk a short distance along the edge of Dorfstraße towards Westendorf until we reach the Brixen district of Hof, where we turn right and follow the signs towards Salvenberg. A wide, cleared mountain road leads us directly to the Oberkaslach snack bar, where we can not only enjoy lovingly prepared regional delicacies, but also a wonderful panorama of the entire Brixental valley.
