Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing is required for all hikes and routes. It is necessary to bring a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without a possibility to stop for food.
Start at the Zentrumsgarage Obergurgl next to the church. Follow the street for 300 meters, then turn left before Appartements Andy. Follow the beautiful winter hiking trail northwards. At the Poschach district, the winter hiking trail continues over the sections Isse and Pill | Angern to the Hochgurglbahn.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly by public bus or local taxis through the entire valley to your desired destination. In Gurgl, the following parking facilities are available:
Village center parking garage Obergurgl (down to the right in front of the church), paid
Parking garage at the village entrance – valley station Festkoglbahn, paid
Parking lot at Hochgurglbahn valley station, free – no overnight parking
Parking lot Top Mountain Crosspoint, free
Parking lot Hochgurgl, free (very small parking lot)
