Tirol’s capital Innsbruck has a variety of great restaurants for vegan food: Olive Restaurant on Wiltener Platzl square maintains an organic, 100% vegan menu while creating meals that are delicious enough to satisfy the most skeptical omnivore. Don’t miss their ever-changing line-up of savoury lunch menus!

Oscar kocht” (translating to “Oscar cooks”) in Pradl is Innsbruck’s perhaps smallest plant-based food destination and the undisputed mecca for up to 12 visitor. With a menu developed by Mexican owner and chef Oscar, expect to find a variety of his signature dishes, all executed with creative flair and impeccably presented. The entire menu is vegetarian or vegan, and in the best way: Oscar is closing the gap of gourmet, meat-free options with creative dishes made from organic and local products whenever fresh and viable—he even grows his own vegetables.

D-Werk on Innrain is great for a quick, plant-based bite. You’ll probably recognise much of the menu – döner kebab, for example. This lovely eatery manages to feel super-comfortable and its veggie-based menu offering seitan-packed kebabs is a good fit for the modern surroundings. Ingredients are locally sourced where possible and all receptacles and packaging are eco-friendly and biodegradable, with a commitment to using no plastic and tin-foil. Unpretentiously eco, easily affordable and vegan.

Another place where you can indulge guilt-free is Manna on Maria-Theresien-Straße. This spot is where all the trendiest veggies and vegans congregate – thanks to the cool interiors as well as the wonderful vegan lunch option on offer each day. Plus, the menu offers a wide variety of fully plant-based delicacies.
