Venedigerhaus Innergschlöss: Glacier Views in East Tirol

Where there are glaciers, there is water. This obvious principle also holds true for the Venedigerhaus Innergschlöss in East Tirol. This traditional guesthouse lies at 1,691 metres above sea level, en route to the towering peaks of the Hohe Tauern Mountains, and has a stream rushing past the front door. The Venedigerhaus is a good base camp for walking and hiking in the region, with trails for everyone from families with children to ambitious climbers – for example the Großvenediger, one of Austria’s highest peaks. We recommend checking out the glacier learning trail, which leads past an impressive waterfall.
