Families welcome! This walk from the top of the Ahornbahn cable car above the village of Mayrhofen in the Zillertal Valley is suitable for little legs and smooth enough for pushchairs and buggies. After just 250 vertical metres of climbing you will reach the summit of the mountain at 2,227 metres, where fine views of the Zillertal Valley and the surrounding mountains await. There are several huts and restaurants in the area serving hearty local food, while the Ahornsee lake with its benches and recliners is a peaceful place to simply enjoy the majesty of the mountains.
