Medium-difficulty summit hike from the Ahornbahn mountain station past the Ahornsee lake and the Zillertal viewing platform, from where you have a magnificent view of the Zillertal mountains. The groomed winter hiking trail leads in serpentines towards the summit. The last quarter of the trail is a little narrower, but still easy to walk on. The pretty summit cross with edelweiss is worth a photo, as is the view from the top. Important: Check the tourist board website to see if the trail is open.
The beautiful WinterHikingPath heading towards Filzenkogel offers a unique summit experience with breathtaking views. Tip: Enjoy a bit of a break at the pleasure and rest areas.
