The Schlick 2000 ski area is just a ten-minute drive from Innsbruck in the front Stubai Valley near Fulpmes, stretching across the slopes of the beautiful Schlick high valley and the 2,140-metre-high Kreuzjoch. The small, family-friendly ski area - also the largest in the Stubaital - is blessed with plenty of snowfall and offers good piste conditions from the beginning of December right through to April. Despite its manageable size, it offers almost everything a winter sports enthusiast could wish for: slopes of all levels of difficulty including three black runs, a snow park, altitude profile measurement, a speed run and BIG Ron's Kinderland. Those who prefer untouched deep snow will find some beautiful freeride routes on the Kreuzjoch. The many huts and restaurants guarantee that none of the snow sports enthusiasts will go hungry. A hot tip is the Stubaiblick viewing platform.
