Attraction Chapel Zenznkapelle (near the Sonnehöfen)

Leutasch

This Marian chapel, located on a hill near the Sonnenhöfe in the district of Schanz, was built in the 17th century.

Description

This Marian chapel, located in the district of Schanz on a hill by the Sonnenhöfe, was built in the 17th century. It is part of one of the oldest farms in the Leutasch Valley, the Zenznhof, which is associated with a "highborn" legend: Duke Friedrich with the empty pocket is said to have hidden here while fleeing from his enemies.

Inside the Zenz chapel, which is adorned with two small statues and Stations of the Cross images that are unfortunately damaged, about 6 people can fit. The chapel was formerly, so the story goes, a chapel of indulgence.
