Attraction Funsportstation at the Mount Penken

Today closed
Mayrhofen, Zillertal

Surrounded by a fascinating mountain world, the FunSportStation on the Penken offers young and old action lovers sporting experiences that they don't get to experience every day: On the mountain scooter tour, the mountain can be explored on wheels and the motor skills course ensures good fun for all ages. Other highlights include the e-trial course, an idyllic mountain playground and the refreshing Lärchwaldbachl stream. The Knorren climbing area with its two via ferratas, Steinbock (difficulty B/C) and Knorrennadel (difficulty A/B), offers the perfect conditions for all those who want to aim high.

We recommend because:

  • the new "Beweg dich schlau!" course by Felix Neureuther playfully conveys the joy and motivation of movement
  • the LärchwaldBachl offers a refreshing dip on hot summer days
  • you can immerse yourself in the world of mascot Albert Adler in Virginia's tree house

Description

BEWEG DICH SCHLAU!-PARCOURS by Felix Neureuther

Based on the concept of the former professional athlete, Ravensburger has developed five training modules that promote both the physical and mental performance of children, while playfully inspiring motivation and joy in movement.

LÄRCHWALDBACHL

Splish, splash, water fun! A great water playground awaits at the top station of the Kombibahn Penken lift, right next to the FunSportStation. Kids can really let off steam at the LärchwaldBachl Stream, with various attractions such as a waterwheel, spiral scoop, wooden barrels and flumes. Guaranteed to bring cool refreshment on hot summer days!

CLIMBING AREA KNORREN

For those who want to get a taste of the vertical world, there are two ViaFerratas at the Knorren ClimbingArea in Zillertal. The KnorrenNadel ViaFerrata is suitable for beginners and with its two rope bridges and viewing platform on top of the KnorrenNadel, you should be prepared for a touch of vertigo. In the lower third of the Knorren wall you find the Steinbock ViaFerrata, which is designed for more advanced climbers.

You can rent ViaFerrataSets at the FunSportStation (subject to availability, for a fee).
