The Garnet Chapel is situated at 2,087 m above sea level on the sunny plateau of the Penkenjoch - right next to the reserovir. The Garnet Chapel is a 10 minute walk, which anyone can easily manage, from the Finkenberger Almbahnen summit station. The Garnet Chapel on Mount Penken is dedicated to the Zillertal Blessed Engelbert Kolland. The services of the famous Swiss architect Mario Botta were secured to realise the plan.

Zillertal: B 169 from Strass/Brettfalltunnel to Mayrhofen - Intersection Ginzling/Hintertux
Tuxertal: turn right at the intersection and follow the L 6 Tuxer Landesstraße to the Finkenberger Almbahnen
Bus/Train
from Jenbach with the Zillertalbahn to Mayrhofen train station
from Mayrhofen train station take bus 4104 to Finkenberg, bus stop: Finkenberg Almbahnen
Ride with the Finkenberger Almbahnen to Penkenjoch, from there it is a 10-minute walk.
