Attraction Late gothic portal

Kitzbühel

The portal provides access to the Greif restaurant at Hinterstadt 24 and features late Gothic forms (around 1520).

Description

It is the most elaborately decorated of all the Kitzbühel portals. A small, glazed round-arched niche containing a Baroque Man of Sorrows is set above the gable end. In the centre of the front, on the first floor, is a particularly richly designed inn sign in empire form. An eagle with a griffin carries the oval host shield.
