Attraction Maple Tree Erl

Kufstein

A rooted place of power

Information

Source: Kufsteinerland

Description

It stands firmly rooted on the edge of the Erlerberg forest. For an estimated 300 years it has defied wind and weather here and today offers hikers a shady place to snack, linger and relax. Close your eyes and experience the rustling of the leaves in gentle gusts of wind in the silence of nature.

NATURERESPONSE® - in resonance with nature

The oldest tree in Erl, estimated to be 300 years old, with a circumference of up to six metres, is an important representative of the world's 200 species of maple family. It provides us with protection and shade at the same time. The typical "finger shape" and variety of its leaves nourish the idea of being connected to other members of the maple family from here. Due to the spread finger shape of its leaves, it is traditionally regarded as a defensive protective tree. Like many others, maple is also a nourishing tree: its leaves and fruits are edible and we appreciate the thickened maple syrup as a healthier sugar substitute. Therefore it fits well into this alpine pasture landscape with its variety of regionally produced and processed culinary delights!

Exercise

near the tree, spread your fingers alternately like maple leaves and relax
then additionally move the arms with conscious lightness - and perceive the strengthening of effect in the entire arm length
in this way, you can try out two protective postures and find the one that suits you best: Arms and hands raised laterally to shoulder level (protection to the outside) or both hands held in front of the heart and body centre (protection to the inside) ... and save
