In the Middle Ages, the Schwaz Silver Mine was the largest silver mine in the world. On a 90-minute guided tour, you’ll delve deep into the history of mining, travel 800 metres underground on the mine railway and learn all about the hard life of the miners. Especially in summer, the mine offers a welcome respite from the heat with its constant temperature of 12 °C.
