Attraction z'Bach Farming Museum

Open today
Wildschönau

At the z'Bach Mountain Farmers' Museum, you can immerse yourself in real mountain farming life: an originally preserved farmhouse from 1795, creaking wooden floors, old parlors and over 1,200 exhibits that show how things used to be in the mountains - down-to-earth, tough, but full of heart and craftsmanship.

We recommend because:

  • An authentic mountain farm (1795) with parlors, stable and equipment shows without "show" how life in the Wildschönau really was in the past
  • Over 1,200 exhibits, old crafts and working worlds to look at (and some demonstrations) make history understandable
  • From June to October, the craft market attracts visitors with demonstrations, regional products - and the popular lard noodles from the museum kitchen

Description

The z'Bach farming museum offers fascinating insights into the life of the Wildschönau ancestors. Particularly captivating are the exhibition rooms in the front part of the historic farmhouse, where over 1,100 exhibits from work, culture, and daily life of previous generations can be seen.

The renovated threshing floor of the museum is available for seminars, weddings, exhibitions, and numerous other events. In the summer, visitors have the opportunity to visit the craft market every Thursday and experience traditional craftsmanship up close.
